A new Employment Resource Hub, an online guide to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) designed to help job seekers, employers, and professionals better understand workplace requirements under the law, has just been launched by the ADA National Network.
Organized by topic, the Hub covers everything from ADA basics—such as who is protected, what qualifies as a disability, and how the law applies to hiring—to what employers can and cannot ask during the application process, including rules on medical exams and disability disclosure.
It also provides guidance on the meaning of “reasonable workplace accommodations,” including what employers are required to provide, along with examples from a variety of workplaces. Additional topics include mental health, support animals and veterans’ rights.
