At the fourth annual U.S. Adaptive Open last month, the spotlight in the Seated Players division wasn’t solely on three-time champion Max Togisala—it was also on his VertaCat, the adaptive mobility cart helping redefine golf.
Designed by an athlete with paraplegia determined to return to the game, the VertaCat enables athletes with limited lower-body function to compete on equal footing with their standing peers. It features joystick steering, turf-friendly tires, and a patented “Friction-Free” Stand-Up Assist that gently elevates users into a secure standing position. This allows for a natural golf swing, while the compact frame and tight turning radius ensure smooth navigation.
