I think it’s essential to the growth and development of children, to participate in age-appropriate activities. So, if a seven-year-old is starting the Brownie troop, then a seven-year-old in a chair needs to start Brownies. And, if they’re going camping, then they need to figure out a way to go camping with them. And it’s also important too, that as much as I think that parents need to advocate, it’s important too, for them to know when to step away. And so, they don’t always have to participate in theses activities with their children, and hover over their children; they need to let them be an active participant with their peer groups, individually on their own.
