Number one: it’s the type of equipment they’re going to need. Number two: the accessibility of their home. Number three: the support system they have. Number four: what is the projection for their future? We try to encourage our case managers to involve the individual with the spinal cord injury in the planning for the future and immediate goals as well. We sit down with the client and their family, and try to get them to participate in the aspects that they’re going to have to be involved in when the person returns home.
