The one most important thing a parent can do to encourage a child in rehabilitation, is to continue to maintain a positive attitude. Attitude can be everything during rehabilitation. It's not always easy, and there's going to be difficult days both for the parent and for their child. So, to try to maintain a positive attitude for your child, to keep them coming back every day, keep their spirits up. And, letting them know that through hard work and continued ability to work in the rehab setting with their rehab team, they'll be able to come out on the other end feeling the way they felt before their spinal cord injury, and doing just as many things, in maybe different ways, but doing just as many things as they did before their Spinal Cord Injury.
