Having the opportunity to move back into the world with their peers. And sometimes that needs to happen slowly, through introductions and developing a sense of comfort of using the wheelchair and how that feels. Perhaps looking different than their peers, but knowing that generally kids are so receptive to other children once that initially introduction happens. I think sometimes the saddest thing for me is seeing, because of fear or because of lack of resources, children that are not able to go back to school, children that do not reconnect with friends. I think that is kind of the biggest loss.
