Donald Peck Leslie, M.D. is the Medical Director Emeritus of Shepherd Center in Atlanta, GA. He came to Shepherd as a resident physiatrist in 1983 and has stayed for 34 years. “I’ve worked in virtually every division of this hospital from inpatient to outpatient,” Dr. Leslie says. “It’s not a job; it’s a life. I love this place, and I love what happens here.”

He founded and co-developed the Acquired Brain Injury Program and has served on the Board of Directors for the Brain Injury Association of Georgia, as well as the co-Medical Director of the Georgia Model Brain Injury System for the TBI Model Systems Grant. He has made regional, national and international presentations in the fields of brain and spinal cord injury. He serves on Shepherd’s Research Review Committee and has served on the Shepherd Center Board of Directors since 1990. Dr. Leslie is also a clinical professor at the Emory University School of Medicine and chairman of Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta.
