At first, they said that he was a para, he was paralyzed from the waist down. And then they came back about an hour later, they said, “No, let me rephrase this. He is paralyzed from the neck down. He is a quad,” and I was a little shocked that, I guess it was just shocking. They told me that he was never going to breathe on his own. I mean, being told these things—I guess, they have to give you the worst case. They can’t give you false hope.
