The hardest part was leaving the immense support system that existed here at the Shepherd Center. Here at Shepherd, they help you out with feeding, there’s nurses that will take care of everything for you basically. But on your own, you’re basically looking out for all of those things on your own. And it was scary, you know, just knowing it will be me and my parents managing all of that. But fortunately, at the Shepherd Center they gave us some training on how to handle those things and that helped quite a bit.
