Athena – How have your family relationships changed?

Our daughter was so young, she was six months old when he became disabled. She said not too long ago, "it's like the wheelchair is invisible." I mean, she just sees daddy as daddy, and she doesn't see him for his disability. Because he was injured, he wasn't born with his disability, he sees it more than she does, and he feels a lot of the—I don't want to say—lack of respect, but, you know, when a kid doesn't want to be around, you know, her parents or whatever, as teenagers, he takes that like, "oh, it's because I'm disabled." I'm like, "it's not because you're disabled, she doesn't want to be around me. Talk to your friends, and they're having the same issues."
