The Kelly Brush Foundation was established by family and friends in 2006 after Kelly was injured in a ski race and sustained a spinal cord injury. The foundation advocates for improved ski racing safety, supports research to treat and cure paralysis due to traumatic Spinal Cord Injury, and is dedicated to improving the quality of life for individuals living with Spinal Cord Injury by purchasing adaptive athletic equipment for those with financial limitations. The Kelly Bush Foundation also supports the U.S. Adaptive Ski Team.Adapted sports equipment grants are made available through this foundation for skiers or snowboarders with a spinal cord injury.
