The level of injury effects the amount of spasticity that people have somewhat, in that if you have a thoracic injury, in the middle of your back, or a neck injury, a cervical injury, then you may have this type of spasticity, or these spasms. If you have a lumbar injury, then typically you don't have a lot of spasticity. In that case, you've actually damaged the nerves coming out of the spinal cord that actually innervate the leg muscles. So then there's a loss of connection between your legs and your spinal cord, not just the loss of connection from your brain to your spinal cord.
