Everyone is worried about taking care of the individual who is injured but I often encourage them to take care of themselves because if a caregiver is not taking care of themselves, they can’t be there for anyone else. And often times they suffer tremendously, they really struggle with their own stress, their own depression, their own feelings of what they planned for the individual, what their hopes were and how that’s changing. It is just challenging and difficult for everybody.
